Over the past few weeks Francis Kirk Group of Companies have had a string of awards nominations.
We have been nominated in The National Family Business Awards 2018, in E3’s Family Business of the Year Award, in PwC’s UK Private Business Awards, and in Family Business United’s Family Business of the Year Awards.
On top of these nominations, Francis Kirk have received a Silver GM 2018 Social Value Award from GM Chamber of Commerce.
“It is a privilege to be nominated for these awards and to receive the recognition that the company has been achieving for many years. None of it would be possible without the strong team we have around us and working with us” Said Tom Kirk, MD, regarding Francis Kirk Groups recent success.
The Silver GM Social Value Award is in recognition of the time Francis Kirk have dedicated towards the Chamber, and comes off the back of Tom’s recent presentation at the GMCC’s International Trade Forum, where Tom gave an insight into Francis Kirk’s overseas business and the benefits and challenges of export. We also helped out with a GMCC Careers Event at Longdendale High School towards the end of last year, where 2 of our past and present apprentices shared their educational experiences, ranging from college life to working full time, both during and after completing an apprenticeship.
The recent nominations add on to what is already an impressive year for Francis Kirk, as the company – celebrating its 150th year in business – recently surpassed £200,000 worth of orders from the middle east.
Tom continued “We’re delighted with all the nominations, and hopefully we can carry on in the same vein throughout the year”
